Resolving leave discrepancies in the workplace

Navigating leave discrepancies as a Teacher can be tricky. Louise, a member of the Queensland branch of TPAA experienced this issue first hand when she applied for leave in March 2024 to take a trip overseas.

Approved by the Principal as special paid leave Louise was all set for her journey. On March 28th, While enjoying her time abroad, she discovered that her approved leave had been unexpectedly withdrawn and re-entered as unpaid special leave.

Receiving no correspondence or explanation regarding this sudden alteration, Louise reached out to TPAA with the details of her case for assistance. Louise was assigned one of our experienced case managers who discussed the matter with admin staff on Louise’s behalf. From this discussion not only was Louise’s pay reinstated but additionally, Louise received an immediate manual payment.

How is the TPAA so effective in defending members during workplace issues and disputes? Our experienced and professional case managers use our unique RED™ case resolution system.
